Maybe I don't have a problem reading Nietzsche because I knew so much about him through other authors before touching his actual books, but I don't particularly struggle understanding what he's getting at.

I'll have to reread a page sometimes, during the Gay Science and Zarathustra I did anyway, but even if you miss his exact critique, you can know from his other works where he's going.

Anything ambiguous in one work is interpreted by another, and he usually gives multiple treatments to each topic, so very little is left to mystery.
