Finally finished Metro Exodus. Actually a really good game. Being a story-driven experience, the overall linear nature of it was good, while the free-roam elements to each chapter were also very solid in their own right. The branching-path nature of events in each chapter, and the factors controlling which ending you get, were also pretty smoothly blended into gameplay so they weren't glaringly obvious "Do You Want To Be Good Or Evil?" buttons (I'm looking at you Bioshock and Dishonored).
I only learned after the fact that you did not, in fact, have to do battle with the blind mutant apes in the final area. But I had so many pipebombs and molotovs at that point, I had no reason not to. Total Mutant Death.
