SniperKnighter (npub1ljy…mx0l)
From that list, here are the shows that I think are better:
>No Game No Life
Demonstrates non-Mary Sue abilities, actual strategy, and had a non-punchable Loli
>Konosuba
The main cast are all either degenerates or have various quirks that work against them and prevents them from being punchable Mary Sues, which saves the MC from being a wish fulfillment avatar.
>Rising of the shield hero
Dude actually goes through some serious shit and has some mental problems because of it. Actual struggle and character development.
>Jobless
See above.
>Youjo Senki
The MC end up doing personally counter-productive actions and saying personally counter-productive things.
>The Familiar of Zero
Been a while, but being the possession/familiar of someone ain't exactly a power fulfillment for anyone.
>Gate
The OPness does make sense, even if it is an admitted JDF wankfest.
>Grimgar
Been too long to remember enough to properly comment on it.
>How Not to Summon A Demon Lord
Him having to cover up his crippling social anxiety disorder was funny.
>Arifureta
In the first LN volume, he did go through hell and earned what he got. Stuff after that was edglord cringe, but it was honest with what it was.
>Cautious Hero
Over the top caution that ended up being prudent was actually funny. That and that caution was very much earned.
>Eminence in Shadow
He's oblivious to how much he is what he pretends to be.
>The World’s Finest Assassin
Dude was recruited specifically because he already had the skills he used in this world.
>Death March
The OPness was just an excuse to write a fantasy travelogue.
>Iruma-kun
Went through shit and being optimistic and nice isn't an assgrab superpower.
>My Next Life as a Villianess
Awareness and obliviousness together. Superpower is not being a bitch.
>So I’m a spider so what
Great series. The adaptation didn't hold a candle to the original novels. MC literally goes through a hell of a world to become powerful. Any other OPness was added as a lark.
>Digimon
Um from what I remember this is like Pokemon but like with digital critters or something.
>Isekai Quartet
Just a chibi compilation of other series.
>I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years
OP by being slow and steady for 300 years. She's also laid back and the stories are comfy.
>Isekai Cheat Magician
This is the generic dividing line I use.
>Bookworm
Previous life knowledge balanced out by bibliomania.
>Skeleton Knight in Another World
Dudes a fuckin' skeleton and does end up having to learn and work with others.
>The Faraway Paladin
Reasonable actions and thoughts for someone put in that situation in a body with that potential.
>Trapped in a Dating Sim
Dude actually did some work and used his discoveries well. Seeing Otome dreamboats get their comeuppance was nice too.
>Restaurant to Another World
Comfy story of people eating tasty food. Good world building that was plausible with consequences that made sense.
>Demon Lord, Retry
Hilarious parody of the isekai genre and tropes.
>The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?
Forgot about this one. Dropped it.
>Black Company
Mocking fantasy worlds and the guy demonstrated he knows how to scam and use others.
>By the Grace of the Gods
Almost came close to dropping this, but it avoided being too in-your-face about the MC's OPness
>Kemono Michi: Rise Up
Dude with a floof fetish and degenerate/messed-up supporting crew. Fun.
>Parallel World Pharmacy
Dude used his actual knowledge earned from his own accomplishments in his previous life.
>Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!
Liked the fact that she didn't want to be OP. Did kind of drop off fast after she did some evil shit though.
>The Saint’s Magic Power
Rather tame OPness and she seemed humble.
>Farming Life in Another World
Again, a humble character who's happy with monster waifues.
>The Executioner and Her Way of Life
Spoiler: The story is about killing OP isekai people from Japan.
>KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World
Loli goddess and and a devious MC who openly manipulates people.
>Handyman Saitou in Another World
He's just a handyman who is useful. No special powers.
>Cop Craft
Not really any OP Mary Sue, just a interdimentional cop show with art by Range Murata.
>Girls Bravo
Again, been too long.
>Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement
Started out good. She though ahead but the character started acting like the oblivious stock Japanese isekai protagonist who wows the fantasy world by just being Japanese. Though I've been told that that tendency does end up having negative consequences.
>My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1
He can't be OP alone and he's pretty humble nice.
>In the Land of Leadale
Only seen a little, but it's lade back rather than a power fulfillment fantasy.
