I used to donate to Wikipedia before it became Wokepedia. It was sad to witness the decay into partisanship. That is unavoidable for centralized entities: organized groups with a "cause" and no ethical restraints always take over and turn the centralized entity into a propaganda machine, labelling whatever they don't like as 'conspiration' and the most blatant lies as 'settled science'. I am not a relativist, I believe in absolute truth and that it cannot be achieved by decree or consensus, but by comparison and intelectual honesty.
quoting nevent1q…2m46One of the coolest emergent properties of a Wikipedia on nostr, like the new Wikifreedia.xyz client, is the fact that people don’t have to agree on what’s the truth and pretend that a neutral point of view is humanly possible.
It’s not “truth by democracy/power/influence”
It’s a savage pursuit of truth at the edges of the network.
It’s the embodiment of “embrace the chaos”
