I think the error page is often effectively a throttle; its wording is weaselly. It seems there have been different kinds of likes and follows over the years and the code which knows how to delete the modern ones doesn’t know how to delete the old ones, so sometimes you have to do dumb stuff like visit the thing and unfollow and follow and unfolllow it until the change sticks. Also, it seems you often simply cannot delete likes of things which have been deleted. Stuff like that. It’s a project, but persevere.
