It didn’t take long for everything to darken, but I have been feeling the weight of current cultural and geopolitical trends especially heavily lately. Larger scale war is no longer unlikely, disintermediation turned out to have more problems than we anticipated, the people getting richest in software regard users as farm animals, and American culture is collapsing into various flavors of madness (infecting Europe in the process).
