I had to go to the mall to return some stuff that was eager to get back with their pals, and I for one was more than eager to help them along. Except for the actual mall part. Malls...they have failed to grow on me.
I parked near a long row of Tesla sedans, probably over 20 of them, happily (by the expressions on their faces) sipping juice at high speed, along with one CyberTruck, which wasn't in conflagration mode at the moment; and a few of some other kind that looked like that Playskool car that I played with in Kindergarten. (Was it Rivendell? Rival? Do they make cars and kitchen appliances now?) Given the proximity to a prominent and exceedingly progressive city, I was surprised to see so many of the progeny of that dreaded villain Mr. X in residence, but I suppose the lowly Prius is too downscale for a suburb of the great city that starts with B, and the locals have somehow acquired the ability to keep the difficult dichotomy of politics and status symbol in tension.
