Page 70 reinforces thinking for myself. THE PRICE OF TOMORROW book.
I was poor going into 2009. But I had saved $1,000 by working hard and saving.
Literally everyone in the stock market, including me, were at their wits end. FUD was thru the roof.
At that moment I knew the time had come to BUY. I smashed buy on vanguard’s $VGSTX!
Hot damn that son of a bitch charted up the next day and continued up for the rest of the year and into 2010.
Although I felt hella smart. It was more about being a learning experience about buying mis-priced assets.
More recently I have felt Bitcoin was mispriced. In early 2023 when the Bitcoin ETF became available, vanguard didn’t participate. With great conviction I closed my Vanguard and transferred to Fidelity. $FBTC has doubled. I’m not a smart man. But I trust my guts and follow thru. So can you.
