Can the UX of nostr improve?
Of course, and it needs to.
Is it fair that we have to surpass current systems, even though they have worse UX than #nostr ? It doesn't matter, unfortunately, because people don't want to leave their comfort zone.
How is traditional systems worse in UX than nostr?
Think about it from a completely new person. No email, no bank account, nothing. Now, let's compare.
New bank account:
- bureaucracy / paper work
- KYC
- reading the rules and terms
- phone number
- some other requirements
- install app
Bitcoin:
- install app and click generate
- receive/send. done.
- educate yourself on safety/security measures.
Creating a new social media account:
- go through the process of creating an email
- fill that data again on one social media site
- repeat this process for any social media account you want to use
- some require kyc
Nostr:
- install app or extension and click generate
- sign in to whatever app/site you want
- somehow people give you money too
The problem isn't UX, it's providing superb UX to get people out of their comfort bubble.
