My main reason for trying Nostr is not because I’m a budding Nazi, it’s because folks there more often talk about a Value 4 Value economy. The basic idea being you do a thing, then people send you cash based on whether or not they like the thing. This being outside of the advertising business model most social media works.

All good right? We all got to eat… However, here’s the funny thing, to date I’ve had more contributions from Fediverse users using more traditional methods (via KoFi and standard banking infrastructure) than I have from Nostr via magic internet money.

It’s important to add Nostr is waaaayyyy smaller than the Fediverse but I post this information merely as a report from some dickhead playing records on the Internet, it’s a different game to getting my scrotum out on Instagram.

I like both platforms and will report things as they happen in my face.
