I live in Ecuador and it is hard to buy bitcoin here. Most of the services have 10% fees and most of the common apps do not work due to kyc/aml verificación due to no Standard domicile address and no fully nacional PO.
I use Strike from the US to buy bitcoin since I can link it to my US bank but the banks in Ecuador are difficult to connect.
I often buy bitcoin for people and then transfer it to a wallet on their telephone.
In Ecuador it is legal to buy and sell bitcoin but not legal to use it for goods and services (though I don't know how they can control that)
My thought is to create a HODL community where I could buy bitcoin for a community member and send it to their Fedi account where they would see it in eCash in their Fedi app.
To keep it under the current Central Bank of Ecuador the main use this community is for buying and hodling.
What do you think sbout this concept?
