Should I get a dog? I really want to give a dog or two from the shelter a good home, but when they inevitably get ill and/or pass away, it's an emotional thing I have a very difficult time handling. I'm not sure if I can endure that again. But I'd love to have the companionship in the meantime. I'm not sure what I want to do.
