I have total respect for Saylor, not even for Bitcoin, I have known of him my entire career in the BI space. In fact, if I had the chance, I would ask him one question. If he ever knew Gerald Cohen. Gerry was incredible, my CEO, the only CEO I ever respected in those 35 years I worked in BI. Gerry took the time to listen and talk to me when I came out to NYC to learn his products as a lowly Tech Rep from Minneapolis for his company, Information Builders, Inc.
Gerry was amazing. He made sure we all got the best education, spending tons of money, he didn't care. He asked me how many PC magazines I read a week and told me to order a bunch of them when I got back home. We'd fly to Chicago from Minneapolis for the day for a two hour meeting because Cohen said it mattered. He held HUGE parties for his sales guys and when I worked for him it was the first bonus I ever got. (Up yours Target HQ BTW.)
The point, you are an artist or if you were, do you think Michelangelo was douchebag or Matisse was a fag?
It's okay to support the good guys and I feel Saylor, outside and inside Bitcoin, is a good one, it was my profession, not yours. He was one of the best ones.
Respect for those who 'do', who stick out their necks, who go against the grain, who ruffle feathers, and maybe think Baklava tastes like shit.
