The Switch was woefully underpowered even for a handheld before it was even released to the point that certain games either couldn't be released, or had to be butchered to get running. I spent stupid amounts of money buying digital copies of Nintendo games on the Wii/WiiU e-shop/virtual console and they offered no path to bring those games forward onto the Switch, and I'm not paying a subscription fee for a worse version 1/
