Google Drives missing files is a gentle reminder to all those impacted that it’s a great idea to keep critical files on your hard drive or some such device. Cloud storage should not be a substitute for doing that. Nor should one depend solely on a back up for retreival. If you care about it, have it in a bunch of different places.
