It's crazy comparing books banned now versus those banned a few decades ago. In the 1970's, they banned books because they were like "OK kid, what your gonna do is mix all this stuff up, and then take a deep whiff to confirm the production of H2S", and I don't need to tell you how modern book banning is just queer erasure. Just... the wide disparity. One will tell you to kill yourself and your whole family - probably worth banning - and the other one is like - "it's OK to love who you love"
