I have a #legal #law question:
My friend’s place is near Forest Service land he makes it as fire-resistant as possible. There’s a parcel of land between him and the actual FS land that is owned by someone who lives in another state, and they never come here or make any effort to maintain it, so it is a tinder box. Does my friend have any legal right to go on their land and cut out some of the dead timber to reduce fire risk? If he just does it, is there risk of getting sued?
Boosts appreciated
