WARNING: TMI sick dog info
Dec 5, 2024 @ 10:45 Good morning, family & friends❣️ BRILLIANT and sunny outside, though it isn't yet even 20°F yet...expecting a high of 21°F so it won't get much warmer anyway. The snow is sparkly, as it gets in extreme cold, and is absolutely glorious with the sun shining on it! I tried to get some photos through the windows, not sure how well that will show up. Pain levels extreme today so not sure what I will be able to do, spent a ton of time on my sites yesterday so probably should try to do things around the house if I can. Maisie wasn't feeling great on Tuesday, I could just tell by "that look" in her eyes, though she was acting almost normal. Then yesterday morning she wouldn't eat breakfast...wouldn't eat cheese...or a piece of hot dog...or anything else that Pete offered her, though she did enthusiastically take treats from me. Acted fine, head, ears, and tail up, happy and wagging...I checked her over (CRT fine, temp fine mucous membranes fine, soft belly, joints flexible without pain responses, etc.) In the afternoon she left a "cow pie" on Chuy's paper in the bathroom, then her belly was was harder after that and she was really restless and acting strangely (putting her head under her mattress in her crate and licking the floor for example) but still happy. I was stumped and ready to call the vet first thing this morning. Late late night she (on Chuy's pad, thankfully) had some pretty nasty diarrhea. And this morning she is acting hungry and completely fine. I'm giving her belly a day to rest but it seems like she had something that had to go through and now that it has, she's ok? Still keeping an eye on her of course, and will be home all day until Leelan's play tonight. Pete is out working on stuff in Myrtle, wants to get her ready to sell and get her out of the yard. Which will make our neighbors happy I am sure! So that's it for today, not sure what I will post other than Don's guest post, but I'll be around...have a great day, guys ❣️✝️🎹🐕🦺🦜🙌🍅🥩🎄😆🚌❤️
