When that covid business was called the corona still, I went to an Aldi to get one (1) box of crackers.
Some well-meaning (retarded) college girl--an employee--stood in front of the door to demand I sanitize one of the carts before shopping. (Carts are just outside of the store, to the side. You drop a quarter if you want a cart and get the quarter back if you return it. They had set up a sanitation station. I had walked past the carts altogether.) I, calm and chuckling, showed my empty hands and said all I'm here for is a box of crackers.
She demanded again, loud and "authoritative."
I never imagined in my life that I'd have to tell some Aldi girl to get the fuck out of my way, that I don't want a cart, that all I want is some crackers.
