I think there should be a "Unix Philosophy" or adjacent browser -- where it's just the framework, core functionality such as protocols and rendering are provided by different components, and even things like tabs and bookmarks would be built separately. That way everything can be hot-swappable, from the JavaScript engine (want V8? Want Deno? You got it!) to a Gemini protocol handler or Gemtext renderer, or PDF viewer, or SVG renderer, or anything else you can imagine.
