Another thing that bugged me about Oppenheimer: for three hours, I got the sense that a lot of really interesting science was going on just outside the frame, maybe in the next room, but almost never on camera. For a film about science, I wished it showed more of how science is actually done - smart people bouncing ideas around, shooting them down, etc. What we got instead were science props - equations on blackboards and lab equipment - but little actual science action.
