The duck curve is the opposite of your misleading 6am graph.
Unfortunately, we need to survive 6am every day. And sometimes that 6am situation lasts for a day. Sometimes for a week. Sometimes with some wind, sometimes with no PV and no wind.
As said, probably 1-2 decades before that’s fully deployed but it’s coming
