Yeah, it's fun and increasingly complicated to get Into map datums, ellipsoid models, etc. And then you find that some datums are more accurate overall, but others are more precise in certain areas, and so on... I learned a lot about it when I was a GPS & Navigation instructor for the REI Outdoor School.
