Everytime I post a link here on #Mastodon to my site it results immediately in a large number of requests made for the previews of all those that get my Mastodon message. That creates a spike in the use of my webserver's resources, leading to error messages. Iow I'm #DDOS -ing myself that way. This I presume gets worse as the number of followers grows. Are there ways to mitigate it?
