I don’t contest it really, in theory Monero is much more private. I just point out that for most use cases privacy (call it pseudo privacy) provided by CJs and other BTC native tools is adequate. In my original reply in this thread I state that Monero could be used for a specific use case (albeit with other additional external privacy risks in 99% of the real world cases). My main issue was the Monero crowd outright rejecting Bitcoin and claiming that Monero (and other shitcoins) is a superior form of money.

Everything is relative, for an average person who owns a single Bitcoin at best it still provides a large enough pool (just a single coordinator for 1 specific CJ technology in 1 day).

Let’s not be silly and pretend that a very short time frame performance showcases the fundamental market sentiment. The more you zoom out the clearer the picture is. And it clearly shows that Bitcoin long term outperforms every other asset in existence regardless of the short lived hype cycles.

Regarding BTC dominance are we looking at the same chart? 😁 Obviously when you start from 0 with a new asset class BTC dominance can’t stay at 100% or close to it. But since 2017 the trend is clear regardless the following shitcoin hype cycles. And I bet that as Bitcoin matures it will only become more clear with time.
