The original idea of Ditto was Soapbox on Nostr. At one point I thought I might add Fediverse integration directly, but that would be very difficult and harm the experience on Nostr. I might still do it, but right now I don't see a need. And I've grown to hate ActivityPub as a protocol, so I really don't want to.
