OK I now assume that Trump/Vance will win and enact a radical revision of American governance. We had a similiar burn-it-down-and-start again government in the Australian state of Queensland. It won a landslide, then lost in a landslide 4 years later after savagely reducing sevices. People saw the hard right in action and ran away screaming.
