If Biden were to resign, Harris would immediately be sworn in as president. Simple enough. But her choice for VP would have to be confirmed by the senate and the house, at least this was the case with Ford replacing Agnew. The senate would be no problem, but I'm pretty certain the house would prevent any VP nominee being confirmed. I think we can all see that coming a mile away. This would mean we'd be going into January with no VP. Given that the VP oversees the certification of the Electoral College, and given that the senate is likely to shift to GOP control a few days prior, this would mean someone like Rick Scott or John Cornyn would be overseeing the certification. I really don't think we want to go there, and I hope to the FSM that the WH and all the dipshits saying he should resign have gamed this out.
