I was more curious about your experience simply because everyone is different, patient and surgeon. I do think it’s terrible that anesthesia could be denied for the entirety of a procedure. I’m thankful that, that wouldn’t have too much of an effect for cataract surgery. We do occasionally start an IV for different reasons (if a patient is very nervous, has tremors, etc, etc). I’m sorry your experience wasn’t a positive one.
