I tried updating a package in OpenWrt today and it had all the bad experiences of classic distros:
- mountains of shell scripts paired with Makefiles and some magic ✨
- caching issues inside the above
- none determinism of the two above
- suddenly it works and you don't know why and cannot reproduce it because of the three above
Maybe I just build a static go package and copy it over. Seems easier if I am honest.
