Korean Irworobongdo depicting Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks, Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910), 19th c.\n\nAlso, Seoul 1988 Olympics poster.\n\nThese screens were displayed with the thrones of the dynasty. I'm not qualified to discuss all the symbolism packed into the classic image, but there's a lot, and it's layered. The sun and moon are roughly yin-yang, king-queen, and the conifers are a strongly rooted lineage.
