It really confuses students. I wrote a quick rant to help people out and it really did (got a lot of emails and replies about it). One example of an examination awarding body that uses that one is the Oxford and Cambridge RSA (OCR). It's a good thing! Students studying evolution or developmental biology really struggle with the specific topic
