Pretty much the same thing I mentioned in another thread earlier today. I don’t use Primal so I don’t see their trending feed but I have experimented with it and I don’t find the trending feed useful at all.
I haven’t found any of the trending algorithms very useful. They generally amplify notes that I’ve already seen through people reposting them multiple times and things like GM notes by “influencers” that may be “trending” because they get a lot of engagement but aren’t new or interesting content. While I don’t want a fully algorithmic feed I do want better mechanisms for discovering unique and interesting content, particularly from smaller accounts.
