Back in the 1990s, I used to drive past the office tower in Mesquite Texas where the offices of id Softtware were located on our way to church on Sunday morning. The parking lot was usually empty except for a Ferrari, which I assumed belonged to Carmack. I figured he was the only one working early Sunday morning.
