I’ve been in the carpenters union for 10 years. I’ve worked both union and non union and I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for organized labor. We have a stronghold in Boston and if one company slows down I can always find work elsewhere. The pay is great and I love what I do and the people I work with. Yes there’s politics involved but it’s just like the work politics of any company you’d work for but unlike superiors at company’s black balling you you have a network of great guys that stick together. We deserve the money we make we don’t frame decks and houses, we through up skyscrapers so the pay matches the work
