So, Friday I have an appointment with my Primary Care Provider, and it is going to be awkward because it will be the last time I visit with them

I essentially am firing the medical practice of over a decade, with no offense to the provider, because the large practice I am a part of, sold out a couple years ago to private equity who has done what private equity does, and chopped up the practice to withdrawal as much cash as possible.

Through this practice, I get primary care, labs, certain radiology, etc at home. They also (HAD) durable medical equipment, oxygen, feeding tube supplies and formula, and much more. All done at home.

Since the takeover, all the "sub-companies" of the practice have been sold or closed, like medica equipment, they instituted a national call center so you no longer can speak to your local office, your actual care provider changes every couple month because they can't keep help, etc.

Other patients' medical files are being imported into my file, including medications, diagnoses, etc, due to the end care being handled by "call centers" and a new "dollar store" knock off, cost saving electronic medical record patchwork system.

For over a decade, they were an asset to my health and my rare disease. They have actually become a liability, because of PE.

Private equity got horny for the medical group after the COVID health care laws expanded home health care, esp primary care at home elements.
