I vividly remember the screenwriters' strike in 2007; it started right after World Fantasy. I was involved in running World Fantasy that year, and my husband was one of the folks helping out the attendees who were screenwriters so they could get their final things out via FedEx ahead of the strike starting.
What I saw then: These folks love the shows they work on. They feel responsible. They don't want to drop it. BUT they DESERVE better. I support their strike. Wake up, Hollywood.
