I do think eventually the year of the Linux desktop could technically become a real thing if desktops become so nerdy and obscure that everyone else stops using them. So I'm holding out for that. But the video is about what an embarassingly bad year this has been for Linux, with more projects and distros than unusual devolving into public infighting and childish politics
