My progressive friend just told me her 9 year old daughter thinks she's trans. My friend, the mom, used to be gender critical but is 'softening'. (Never heard of this before, unpeaking....) However, she does know it's a social contagion somewhat.
It was such an awkward conversation. I said kids aren't ready for this stuff, and not more than that.
I changed this kid's diaper when she was a toddler and don't want her to go down this road. She has always been into feminine clothes, for what that's worth, but she is a quirky little soul. This is almost certainly sparked by a Discord channel (that mom banned when she saw the content).
So upset.
