The 2024.8 release of #HomeAssistant later today marks the first time I’ve added anything into core, although daunting at first it’s been a rewarding experience. My Python skills are still developing and I have a lot of bad habits from older languages but the feedback and pointers to similar patterns I received really increased my knowledge of both Python and HA architecture, Joost in particular really went above and beyond on that.
