In your place, isn't it "cloch" ?

Surprisingly similar to french.
I just learned that the french for bell ("cloche") may have been introduced in ancient Gallic by early Irish missionaries.

Welsh : cloch
Irish Gaelic : clog
Cornish : clogh
Breton (Brittany) : kloc’h
Scots Gaelic : clag.
Old English : clucge

Modern Irish : cloigín

Northern-western Europe (except England) share the same proto-gaelic root: Gloke, Clocka, Klok, Klokke...

But "Dong" is simple and easy !!
