I used to live with chickens, my grandma was a real pro at raising both roosters and hens, the latter always busy laying eggs.
I remember one day a hen went absolutely mad because her eggs were taken—she crowed non-stop, like a whole day😅, my grandma had taken the eggs to cook, meanwhile my uncle, already grumbling from a toothache, was driven bonkers by the racket. 😂
Fast forward fifteen years, all the chickens are gone, just like my grandmother. Kidoss and grandkids have tried to keep chickens too, but they haven’t had any luck. Sometimes, really miss those days, miss my grandma much, also miss the sound of rooster.

quoting note1hp7…nvnuI live in a rural area. It seems like every other property has a rooster. I have a husky. Every morning, the roosters crow amd my husky howls back. He's got a special howl he only uses at rooster time. I'm sure my neighbors love it as much as I do 😂
