SQLite make a LOT of sense for file saving in applications.
Heck, it's even a better solution than CSV.
It's more compact, uses less I/O, it's partially updatable, it can be indexed and queried. It's rock solid, cannot be easily corrupted (ACID), and it's highly portable.
