It's functionally a very good messenger. But the failure to integrate into popular Nostr clients means very few people actually use it. I think they should talk to devs of popular clients about making Keychat readily accessible from the client. Full integration may not be possible, but there should be some way of initiating a Keychat conversation from the client, with authentication rolling over from the client to the Keychat app. If it was readily accessible from the client, a lot more people would use it and it would become a popular alternative to NIP-04 and NIP-17.
