Tasks such as supervising academic projects, participating in admissions, setting and grading exams, conducting interviews, and thesis defenses are not included in workload calculations, while annual workload requirements keep increasing. Teachers who fail to meet these targets face salary deductions.
It was also alleged that over 200 teachers applied to resign in 2024, though not all applications were approved. However, Jiangsu University later issued an official statement refuting these claims, stating that there were not over 200 resignations in 2024.
