It's been about 20 years since I learned ethics during my philosophy course at uni, and one thing that life has taught me since is that the vast majority of people have almost no ethics.

Not just that, the damage having no ethics does is so deep, they need others to know it's ok to have no ethics, too.

The simplest ethical acts are always challenged, if not outright decried as being "petty" for not crossing that line
