I had a dream where I was a detective investigating a murder in a mansion, but every time I entered a room a new body appeared and the guest list increased by one.

Whenever I found a clue, another victim was discovered. To make the story short, the killer was dumping the bodies of their previous murders in the mansion and altering the guest list.
