Try one of the apps like Calm or Headspace, use their free trial and do their beginner guided meditations to try it out. Otherwise check out The Almanack of Naval Ravikant (free version of the book available online) it has some good stuff on meditation.

I've given meditation a red hot crack, but hasn't stuck for me (I should probably try again). For me the most impactful stuff for anxiety has been:
- lift heavy weights
- breathing exercises (check out Wim Hof guided breathing on YouTube)
- the normal boring stuff like prioritising sleep, cutting back on booze and caffeine etc.

Other things which I've found help to a lesser degree:
- cold exposure (ice bath or cold shower, check Wim Hof again)
- Yoga
