The lead story is about a company doing something similar to what I've considered doing: Improving the podcast listening experience for a subset of shows by presenting them in a highly-customized app.
The second story is about another company that re-edits the actual audio from podcasts, ostensibly to make for a "better" experience.
Lots of pitfalls, so I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on any of these similar ideas.
