Curator of Mastodon.art fediblock :newt: (nprofile…ynjf) I think they improved that a bit since gnome 4, and I think it performs better than kde now but I've not looked at the metrics.
I'd use something like xfce but for some reason certain things on xorg are extremely laggy (probably a compositing issue and vsync not working properly)
